Overview

We are looking for a senior pastor who will lead the Session and shepherd us as we grow in loving community as we grow together in Christ so that we might glorify God and be fully equipped to bring the good news of the kingdom of God to the Annapolis Area, our Nation and the world Responsibilities

Lead the Session and shepherd the church as it grows in loving community in Christ, so that we are equipped to proclaim the gospel locally and to the world Personal Requirements

Character:

A vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a clear grasp of the Gospel A genuine love for people and a pastoral concern for the members and community of EP Church A life marked by ample evidence of an elder’s call, as defined by I Peter 5, I Timothy 3, & Titus 1 A shepherd’s heart; marked by humility and a servant-leader posture, with a desire to mentor and care for others Theological Commitments

A deep understanding of, and a commitment to the Reformed Faith as expressed in the Westminster Confession and Catechisms A clear grasp of biblical ministry principles, including Gospel-centeredness, repentance and faith, kingdom-centered prayer, relational evangelism through word and deed, personal discipleship, and servant leadership A commitment to the theology, polity, and mission of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) Leadership and Ministry Competencies

A dermonstrated call to pastoral ministry, evidenced by experience, vision, and passion for serving the church A strong biblical foundation that informs wise and faithful leadership in the life of the church Initiative, diligence, and reliability in carrying out responsibilities and following through on commitments A willingness to grow, learn, and adapt within the dynamic context of a growing local church An understanding of, and experience with church leadership and organizational structures Ordained or Ordainable as Teaching Elder in the PCA
