Position Summary The key purpose of this position is to lead and direct the financial responsibilities of the holistic department's $400M-$800M capital portfolio including but not limited to: strategic planning, capital budget development, forecast submission and historical spend analysis for both owned and executed capital support as a Shared Services department that includes multiple Segments: PCW, Corporate, Aetna, PBM, and other Business areas, i.e. Specialty, Coram, and Oak Street Health.
The position will drive evaluation and prioritization of the department's capital projects, approximately 100+ capital projects submitted each year against a prioritization criteria based on budget guidance and targets
The Director will also track and report progress of approved capital projects, analyzing favorability in the capital investment budget and reprioritizing or redistributing capital where appropriate
This team will also support the top strategic projects within the PCW Segment, providing finance and ad-hoc analysis support
Partner with department operation Leaders for Facilities and Repairs & Maintenance Capital management, which averages $155M - $180M annually
Drive technical/AI process improvements to maintain department databases, dashboards, and financial reporting
Directly responsible for the department's capital consolidation reporting to Enterprise Performance and Planning Management Team (EPPM), business segments' CFO Finance offices and department senior leadership which provides in-depth, multi-layered reporting by business segment, department leader, project level, owned vs managed, etc. that meet all enterprise directives
Leads financial and project tracking systems data collection to ensure financial data integrity and develop reporting enhancements to support the department's financial ownership
Lead department efforts, quarterly and year end accrual reconciliation, ad-hoc reporting and other financial requirements.
Additional capital and strategic management from the current department director. Collaborates and directs business owners on all financial deliverables to the organization ensuring spend levels and cashflow alignment accuracy to meet company targets and directives
Collaborates and provides department's finance leads direction and guidance on capital management requirements
The Corporate/SS capital finance and reporting divisions report into this position, a total team of 10, that includes direct reports of 3 finance senior managers
Required Qualifications
8-10 years experience in a senior finance management role
Strategic and critical business planning experience
Supporting strategic projects or programs, including portfolio management, tracking & reporting, financial analysis, and other ad-hoc analysis support
Managing a portfolio of projects, tracking ongoing performance against approved budgets
Capital tracking systems are required including technical experience in excel and database management.
Ability to influence others at all levels in the organization by effectively communicating risks, opportunities and directives in both oral and presentation formats
Developing and delivering executive level presentations, including strong logical structuring, storyboarding, and presentation delivery
Proven collaborator and communicator both written and oral
Ability to lead, inspire and develop a team
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with capital and/or operating expense management with Real Estate, Construction, Facilities or Data Center operational knowledge preferred
Power BI, Anaplan, SAP/S4, Hyperion, and capital project tracking systems.
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is:
$100,000.00 - $231,540.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
