
Assistant Property Manager

BH Management is looking for a Assistant Property Manager to join us in Portland Maine. This position will be directly responsible for assisting our team in the day-to‑day operations of Deering Pavilion and will report directly to the Property Manager.
Responsibilities
Screening and recertifying tenants
Rent collections
Assist in evictions
Working with maintenance staff / generating work orders
Communication with residents and resolution of complaints and issues
Distribute notices
Handling emergency situations as needed
Inspections

Qualifications
College education or equivalent work experience.
2+ years of multifamily working experience preferred.
Preferred HUD section 8 experience.
Highly organized.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to make well‑reasoned decisions, and to work both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Ability to follow‑through to meet resident, agency, and organizational needs.
