
Communications Manager

LHH is currently recruiting for a Communications Manager for a permanent opportunity with our client in the Houston, TX area. The ideal candidate will possess over five years of experience in communications, with a strong preference for backgrounds in the oil and gas sector. This role is pivotal in advancing internal communications, enhancing media relations, supporting executive leadership communications, and driving strategic employee branding and attraction initiatives. This is a fully onsite role at our client’s office in the Houston area.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive internal communications strategies to ensure organizational alignment and employee engagement.
Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries, building and maintaining strong relationships with key media outlets and industry journalists.
Support executive leadership by crafting speeches, presentations, and messaging for internal and external audiences, ensuring a consistent and impactful voice.
Lead initiatives to strengthen the company’s employee value proposition, including the creation and promotion of branding materials to attract and retain top talent.
Monitor and analyze communication efforts, providing regular reports and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in communications, with substantial exposure to internal communications and media relations.
Demonstrated experience within the oil and gas industry is strongly preferred.
Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to develop and execute executive communications and employee branding strategies.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work onsite at our client’s office in the Houston, TX area.
