The same philosophy guides our hospitality. We are seeking a Senior Estate Ambassador to help bring the OVID experience to life—welcoming guests with warmth, knowledge, and genuine passion while guiding intimate tastings and estate tours that reveal the artistry behind the wines.
The Role As Senior Estate Ambassador, you are the steward of the OVID guest experience. You create personalized, memorable visits that reflect the estate’s luxury ethos while building lasting relationships with collectors and guests.
You will host elevated tastings and tours, cultivate a personal book of business, and support the leadership of the hospitality team—stepping in as Manager on Duty when needed to ensure seamless daily operations.
What You’ll Do Deliver Exceptional Hospitality
Host elevated tours and tastings aligned with OVID’s hospitality standards
Create personalized, welcoming experiences that engage guests and inspire lasting impressions
Guide guests through wine selections with expertise, fostering relationship‑driven sales
Share deep knowledge of OVID’s vineyard, winemaking, and philosophy
Maintain the estate and tasting environment with meticulous attention to detail
Support private tastings, estate events, and special hospitality activations
Cultivate Relationships & Drive Engagement
Conduct personalized outreach to guests, members, and trade partners to build loyalty and drive visitation
Develop a personal “book of business” through thoughtful follow‑up and relationship management
Partner with local concierges, luxury hospitality partners, and travel professionals to expand awareness of OVID experiences
Capture guest preferences and insights in CRM systems to support long‑term engagement
Leadership Support
Serve as Manager on Duty when needed, guiding daily hospitality operations
Support Hospitality Associates with coordination of tastings, guest flow, and transactions
Reinforce OVID’s culture, service standards, and brand story through leadership by example
Assist with operational reporting, inventory tracking, and performance metrics
Operational Excellence
Open and close the estate with care and precision
Manage order processing, fulfillment, and guest records with accuracy
Collaborate with Winemaking and Marketing teams to stay current on wines, vineyard activity, and brand initiatives
Participate in training and team development to continuously elevate guest experiences
Who You Are You are a natural host with a passion for fine wine and meaningful guest experiences. You combine warmth and emotional intelligence with a polished, confident presence and thrive in high‑touch luxury environments.
You take pride in the details, enjoy connecting with discerning guests, and bring curiosity, professionalism, and collaborative energy to every interaction.
Qualifications
2–3 years of experience in luxury hospitality or high‑touch guest service
Familiarity with premium or highly allocated wines preferred
Strong communication and presentation skills
Exceptional interpersonal and relationship‑building abilities
Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office preferred
Professional appearance aligned with luxury brand standards
Availability to work weekends and holidays
The Environment This role is based at the OVID estate in St. Helena, CA, within a dynamic hospitality setting that includes indoor and outdoor guest experiences and occasional work in cellar environments. The role requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 40 lbs., and managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
