Estate Sales Ambassador
Tasting Room Expo, Rutherford, NJ, United States
Estate Sales Ambassador
Rutherford, Napa Valley | Full-Time | Base + Commission
Martin Estate is one of Napa Valley’s few pre-Prohibition châteaux, with roots dating to 1887. We produce ultra-premium, estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignons from our Rutherford vineyard and offer private, appointment‑only tastings in a highly curated setting. We are not open to the general public.
Under new leadership, we are building a small, ambitious team that honors our legacy while shaping the estate’s next chapter. If you thrive in an environment where your work has real impact and visibility, this is a rare opportunity.
The Opportunity This is a sales role in a luxury setting—not the other way around.
You will host private tastings for discerning guests and be directly responsible for converting those visits into memberships and long‑term client relationships. Success here is measured by results: membership growth, direct‑to‑consumer revenue, and client retention.
The best candidate will be someone who is equally comfortable discussing terroir with seasoned collectors and guiding first‑time visitors through an unforgettable experience—and who approaches each interaction as an opportunity to build long‑term relationships and grow the business.
What You’ll Do
Host and sell: Lead private, appointment‑only tastings that educate, engage, and convert guests into members and buyers. Manage multiple groups with poise, ensuring every guest feels personally attended to
Build your book: Develop and maintain a personal client base through proactive outreach, personalized thank‑you notes, and targeted follow‑up. Maintain detailed CRM records including guest preferences, significant dates, and visit history
Drive revenue: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for membership conversions and DTC wine sales
Cultivate partnerships: Build referral relationships with concierges, hotel partners, and luxury hospitality networks
Own the experience: Manage the full guest journey from first contact through post‑visit follow‑up, ensuring every touchpoint reflects the estate’s standards
Support the team: Contribute to estate operations including events, inventory counts, order fulfillment, and opening/closing procedures as needed
