Commercial Flooring Sales Representative Monroe County and Finger Lakes Region

TES Staffing is supporting one of the most recognized and award-winning commercial flooring companies in New York State to find their next sales rep. Our client is highly respected throughout the flooring and construction industry for quality work, long-standing relationships, and high-performance teams.

Due to a recent retirement, we are opening a high-earning sales opportunity in the Rochester/Finger Lakes region. This role offers an established company, strong reputation, and existing accounts, but we are looking for someone who wants to hunt, grow territory, and build a book of business that pays.

If you have 2–4+ years in commercial construction, flooring, or project-based sales and you’re frustrated with capped earnings, poor leadership, or being treated like an order taker, this is an opportunity to own your territory and significantly increase your income.

Territory Rochester and surrounding region including the Finger Lakes and Monroe County territory, generally within a 2-hour radius. This is a field-based role. You do not need to sit in an office daily, but you must be located near the Rochester area.

What You'll Do This is a sales and project management hybrid role. The sales team manages the full lifecycle of their projects.

Responsibilities include:

Building relationships with general contractors, facility managers, and commercial clients

Developing new business within the assigned territory

Managing and growing inherited accounts from a retiring sales professional

Identifying and closing commercial flooring installation and maintenance projects

Managing projects from sale through completion

Working closely with installers and operations teams

Maintaining activity and pipeline through Salesforce and internal systems

Continuously prospecting and developing new opportunities

This role is not for someone who waits for orders to come in. We are looking for someone who wants to drive revenue and build a strong book of business.

What We're Looking For

2–4+ years of sales experience in:

Commercial construction

Flooring

Building materials

Facility services

Construction‑adjacent industries

Ability to manage projects and communicate with contractors and installers

Strong relationship‑building and prospecting skills

A self‑driven, entrepreneurial mindset

Stable work history with demonstrated career growth

Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred)

Bonus if you have experience selling maintenance services or long‑term facility solutions.

Compensation

Base salary: $60K+ based on experience

Aggressive commission structure based on project profit
