Carrier Compliance Specialist

Summary Carrier Representatives (CR) will focus on service and cost for Protrans and their group of carriers assigned. They will be a vital part of carrier’s compliance to confirm arrival and departure. They will also make sure that they are updating on time so that our system is up to date with accurate information.

Responsibilities

Carrier Compliance escalation for the Route Coordinators & Route Managers

Complete claim waivers with carrier and SCM as needed

Monitor carriers arrival & departure compliance as stated in the contract they agreed upon

Create CNCR for the assigned carriers when it applies

Manage carrier scorecard to ensure good service from carriers

Qualifications

Expertise in multi-tasking

Proficient with Microsoft Office System (including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint®, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Outlook®)

Customer service representatives constantly interact with public, good communication and problem‑solving skills are a must. Verbal communication and listening skills are especially important. To communicate through e‑mail, good typing, spelling, and writing skills are necessary. Basic to intermediate computer knowledge and good interpersonal skills also are important qualities.

Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s Degree from a four‑year college or university; or two to four years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills Reading and writing - is required.

Mathematical Skills The ability to apply statistical techniques to shipments and delivery data is required. Intermediate math skills are required.

Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations This position requires employees in some locations to obtain a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Certification and Hazardous Material Certification. Employees will be informed during their orientation if they are in one of these locations requiring the above certifications.
