The
Murex Performance Analyst
is accountable for the end-to-end performance, scalability, and stability of the Murex MX.3 platform in a high-availability trading and risk environment.
This role acts as a technical authority for performance engineering, leading analysis, tuning initiatives, and strategic optimization efforts across Front Office, Risk, and Back Office workflows.
The role requires deep expertise in Murex architecture, EOD/SOD processing, batch frameworks, pricing and risk calculations, and close collaboration with infrastructure, database, DevOps, and functional Murex teams.
Responsibilities
Serve as the technical authority for performance optimization of the Murex MX.3 platform
Analyze and improve EOD/SOD processing and batch dependency chains
Optimize risk and pricing calculation frameworks to enhance efficiency
Lead scalability initiatives for workflows and calculation distribution models
Collaborate with infrastructure, database, DevOps, and functional teams to implement improvements
Design and implement JVM tuning strategies to optimize system performance
Leverage monitoring and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve bottlenecks
Ensure high availability and reliability of the Murex platform in production environments
Requirements
7+ years of Murex MX.3 experience, with deep performance focus
In-depth understanding of Murex EOD/SOD architecture
Expertise in risk and pricing calculation frameworks
Proficiency in workflows, schedulers, and batch dependency chains
Knowledge of grid and calculation distribution models
Advanced SQL performance tuning (Oracle / Sybase / equivalent)
Strong Unix/Linux administration and shell scripting
JVM tuning and troubleshooting experience
Familiarity with monitoring and performance diagnostic tools
Experience working with large market data volumes
