Role
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Kendall, FL. As the Aquatic Director at the YMCA of South Florida, you will oversee all aspects of the aquatic programs, including swim instruction, lifeguarding, and daily operations of the facility. Responsibilities include managing aquatic staff, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, developing and enhancing programs, and monitoring the department's budget. You will also play an integral role in community engagement and ensuring that participants of all ages and skill levels have access to safe and impactful aquatic experiences.
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in Swim Instruction, Swim Lessons, and Swimming.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Aquatics and Lifeguarding with a focus on safety procedures and training.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and team management skills.
- Ability to develop and execute programs that meet the needs of diverse communities.
- Lifeguard, Water Safety Instructor, or other relevant certifications required; CPR and First Aid certifications are strongly preferred.
- Experience in budget management and facility operations is an asset.
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Physical Education, or a related field is preferred.
