Job Responsibilities
As Sales Director for Life Sciences Data & Analytics and Competitive Intelligence, you will be a results‑driven revenue leader who excels in complex, consultative selling environments spanning both data analytics and competitive intelligence solutions. In this pivotal role, you will drive customer acquisition and accelerate revenue growth by delivering transformative data and analytics capabilities alongside comprehensive competitive intelligence services to pharmaceutical and life sciences organizations. Your primary focus will be engaging Data & Analytics, Competitive Intelligence, Primary Market Research, Business Development & Licensing, and New Product Planning functions that operate as strategic partners across therapeutic portfolios and brand teams. You will be responsible for articulating the value of our integrated suite of solutions from proprietary data analytics tools to competitive landscape assessments and real‑time intelligence—positioning solutions that address the full spectrum of our clients’ strategic decision‑making needs. Success requires deep expertise in both life sciences data analytics technologies and competitive intelligence methodologies, coupled with knowledge of emerging industry trends, AI‑enabled decision making and strong collaboration with delivery teams to convert opportunities into closed business.
- A Hustler who Identifies new sales opportunities and drives revenue through outbound sales to new prospects and lapsed customers.
- Drive proposal activity and procurement documentation.
- Facilitate and drive smooth kick‑off of new projects within the engagement.
- Maintain a deep understanding of our engagement with the client and work with them on the most relevant solutions for their specific business needs.
- Identify risks to the client achieving their stated business goals and work to resolve them within the capacity we work with them.
- Own the ultimate responsibility for client satisfaction of the new client and ensure contract renewal.
- Developing strategic and sustainable growth plans for all newly opened accounts which will include expanding into new areas both in terms of new solutions within existing client brand teams and into new ones (reviewed and presented monthly to monitor progress).
- Identify/create new opportunities and work with inside sales to continuously increase prospect funnel.
- Leveraging Salesforce.com to effectively forecast, track, manage and report sales performance and progress to optimize and develop future performance.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experienced in pharmaceutical consulting and possess a good understanding of the global pharmaceutical landscape.
- Good working knowledge of product opportunity assessment, commercialization strategy, market segmentation, positioning strategy, competitive intelligence and how they apply to the business needs of brand teams both in launch and R&D strategy.
- Working knowledge of therapy areas like Oncology, Immunology, Neurology integral.
- Must possess a strong business acumen and presentation skills.
- Very strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills required.
- Ability to interface well with all levels of the organization, partnering well across all geographies and functions.
- 10+ years in the industry and or in pharma consulting.
- Graduate from a first or second tier business school.
