Role overview
C5i CPG & Retail Vertical is on an exciting growth trajectory and is the company's #1 channel priority for innovation, investment, and growth. We're looking for a seasoned Hunter sales leader who can fuel our Growth strategy within the CPG & Retail vertical to drive sustainable long-term growth and position C5i as the market leader.
The ideal incumbent will be responsible for building the sales strategy in conjunction with the Head of Sales, identifying key prospects, making inroads, and collaborating with CXOs and Heads of CPG & Retail practices at Fortune 500 companies to understand their business problems that can be resolved by C5i's innovative Analytics products and solutions. The incumbent will be expected to collaborate with Products, Delivery & Solutioning, and various enabler teams to put forth a compelling value proposition and drive long-term client engagements & partnerships. The individual will be accountable for hunting new business and driving top-line growth for the CPG & Retail vertical at C5i.
Required experience
- Prospect and sell C5i products and solutions to companies within CPG, Retail, and related industries globally, with a focus on landing new logos.
- Business development: Consult and educate prospects and customers on how C5i can drive Digital Transformation by leveraging Analytics, Insights, and Artificial Intelligence to optimize supply chain, consumer insights, pricing, and personalization.
- Create business plans, target lists/accounts, for products and solutions including opportunity development, competitive strategies, and targets.
- Track and communicate market trends to/from the field, including competitor data, key challenges in CPG/Retail (e.g., demand forecasting, omnichannel retail), and develop/lead effective counter-strategies.
- Promote products and the company at relevant industry conferences/events (e.g., NRF, Consumer Goods forums).
- Accountable for hunting/achieving new sales targets for assigned products and services, while protecting and growing existing accounts.
- Develop trusted relationships with product and marketing teams.
- Identify/create new opportunities and work with sales leadership to continuously increase the prospect funnel.
- Leverage sales tools to effectively forecast, track, manage, and report sales performance and progress to optimize future performance.
- Pipeline management, with effective quoting and attainment of targets.
- Partner with Delivery, Products & Solutions teams, and other Client & Growth partners to collaborate on growth strategy and drive meaningful topline and revenue growth.
Skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering/science/commerce or equivalent from a premier institute. A Master’s Degree in Business would be preferred.
- Must have: 12+ years of experience in the Sales function, with a proven Hunter track record.
- Must have: Prior experience selling large and complex programs in Analytics, Insights, AI, and related products/solutions in the Global CPG & Retail market.
- Strong selling skills and understanding of competitive intelligence fundamentals.
- Go-getter, ready to roll up sleeves to coordinate and win deals.
- Open to travel for business & client meetings globally.
- Strong communication skills and firm sense of accountability, teamwork, and leadership.
- Must possess a growth mindset, passion for closing relevant deals, and onboarding new logos.
- Experience managing revenue goals in fast-paced CPG/Retail environments.
