Outside Machinist
Hutco Inc. is looking for an Outside Machinist for National Maintenance Shipyard. The yard is located in Harahan, LA. Work is primarily on the repair and new construction of barges and boats. We are looking for a machinist with experience only. NO TWIC card is required. NO per diem available Long-term work. LOTS OF HOURS AVAILABLE!!! Job Location: Harahan, LA Hutco Branch: Harvey, LA Rate of Pay: $28.00 to $32.00 (Depending on experience) (time and a half for overtime after 40 hours) Job description: Fabricates, assembles, maintains, and repairs metal objects through the operation of lathes, shapers, planers, milling machines, drill presses, hydraulic presses, and similar equipment. Measures work carefully by using precision tools such as a micrometer. Performs milling and lathe work on equipment such as pumps, valves, pistons, shafts, bowls, impellers, and other equipment. Uses, adjust, cleans, and stores the tools, machinery, and equipment of the machinist's trade. Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality, seamless customer service Benefits: A limited benefit plan is available to Hutco, Inc.
