Parts Specialist
The material handler is responsible for unloading, loading, and stocking all service parts at the service warehouse. Primary responsibilities include: Loading and unloading trucks as required. Staging materials for service parts delivery to retailer and contractors. Stocking in-coming materials in warehouse. Helping keep warehouse cleaned and organized. Verifying all shipping documents are available for inspection to ensure appropriate paperwork accompanies each delivery route. Inspecting all warehouse handling equipment such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water. Ensuring equipment is serviced in regular intervals to avoid unnecessary maintenance problems. Regularly inventorying shipping supplies such as boxes and packing materials. Verifying quantity of parts ordered is quantity shipped. Receiving and documenting parts returned new and D&O. Performing other duties as assigned. Key business measures include: Complete and on time staging. Proper loading of parts and materials by individual contractor/retailer and by route. No damage to materials while handling, staging, and loading. Hiring profile: Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Work experience: One or more years' experience as material handler. Experience in the housing industry preferred. Willing to train the right person with a great attitude. Other: Good interpersonal skills. Some computer skills. Strong verbal communication skills. Enjoys working in team environment. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 50lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs.
