Seasonal Golf Course Attendant

The Seasonal Golf Course Attendant is responsible for assisting golfers in preparing for their round of golf and assisting golf course clerks with Community Building operations as needed. The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. Helps ensure the safety of patrons and fellow staff members. Assists in all aspects of building operations; Answering phones, assisting golfers as needed, food preparation/service, room rental setup/takedown and assisting in general golf programs. Performs general cleaning including, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping and trash removal. Provides support to youth golf programs as needed or as requested. Continually shows respect for diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and interests. Exhibits sensitivity to the needs of diverse audiences in all duties performed on behalf of the City to support Roseville in building and sustaining an inclusive and equitable working environment and community. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Must work independently and to complete daily activities according to work schedule. Is able to communicate orally and in writing and understands, follows, and transmits written and oral instructions. Establishes effective working relationships with other employees, supervisors and the general public. Ability to work early a.m. hours, weekends, and Holidays. The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of the job. Most work is performed in a normal office environment or outside on the golf course; however, there is exposure to a multitude of elements including stress, pressure, and inability to control work pace. Occasionally the job may involve working with and calming individuals who are emotionally charged over an issue. The position requires availability on evenings and weekends. Limited lifting of 20 pounds or less is required less than 15% of the time. The Golf Course Attendant is responsible for varied technical, complex, and confidential functions, many of which have deadlines and require significant attention to detail. Approximately 70-90% of the time, work is performed at the highest level of detail under the pressure of deadlines. Activities that occur constantly (58 hours/shift): standing, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions Activities that occur frequently (25 hours/shift): walking, reading Activities that occur occasionally (up to 2 hours/shift): feeling and eye/hand/foot coordination Activities that occur rarely (do not exist as regular part of job): sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, and grasping This position is not eligible for Benefits with the City of Roseville.
