Summary/Objective
The Advertising Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with credit union clients while driving growth through Callahan’s advertising and marketing solutions. This role works closely with clients to understand their goals, recommend strategic opportunities and ensure campaigns deliver meaningful results. The position collaborates across internal teams to create value for clients while supporting Callahan’s mission of empowering credit unions and their member communities.
Essential Functions
Drive revenue growth by selling advertising and marketing solutions to new and existing credit union clients
Prospect, develop, and close new business opportunities while expanding existing accounts
Build and maintain a strong pipeline to meet or exceed sales targets within assigned territory
Develop a deep understanding of client goals to recommend tailored advertising solutions
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong, long-term relationships
Act as a strategic advisor, aligning advertising strategies to support client growth and business objectives
Conduct regular client outreach to ensure satisfaction, retention, and continued engagement
Partner with marketing and media teams to plan, launch, and optimize advertising campaigns
Monitor campaign performance, analyze results, and deliver actionable insights to clients
Ensure campaigns are executed effectively and aligned with client expectations
Collaborate cross-functionally to identify upsell, cross-sell, and new product opportunities
Work in tandem with vendor/core account managers to deliver coordinated client communication
Provide guidance and direction to account management support resources as needed
Maintain accurate and up-to-date activity and account details in Salesforce (CRM)
Stay informed on industry trends, market insights, and product offerings to strengthen client conversations
Resolve client challenges with professionalism, strong communication, and a solutions-oriented mindset
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree.
Proficiency in Salesforce.com.
Familiarity with advertising and marketing concepts.
Ability to communicate effectively with executives by e-mail and phone.
Experience thinking through problems creatively.
Experience in advertising sales a plus.
Strong attention to detail.
Proven track record in working collaboratively with a small team.
Ability to take initiative on projects and customer service interactions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple priorities.
Experience managing individual projects, programs, product lines, or junior staff.
Effective organization and time management skills.
A results-oriented team player who is skilled at prospecting.
Excellent project management, time management, account-coordination skills, and implementation of multiple tasks and/or responsibilities with very limited oversight by direct manager.
