Job Summary/Description
FOX19 in Cincinnati has an immediate opening for an experienced anchor/reporter. We are looking for an engaging, memorable anchor to join our team. You must be a newsroom leader with the ability to enterprise, break stories, and work on impactful special reports. The person will anchor an afternoon newscast, along with digital‑only newscasts, and serve as the primary fill‑in on evening & late newscasts.
Duties/Responsibilities
Anchor afternoon newscast (and primary fill‑in on evening & late newscasts)
Anchor digital‑only newscast
Handle breaking news situations on the anchor desk and/or in the field
Create high‑quality news content (with high viewer impact) for broadcast, digital, streaming, and social media platforms
Develop sources in the community to pitch enterprise and special report stories
Maintain a high social media presence
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field
Minimum of 5 years’ experience preferred as an anchor
Experience delivering engaging live content in the studio and the field
Self‑starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proven track record of generating enterprise story ideas
Excellent time management, communication, and writing skills (broadcast and AP style)
Candidate must successfully complete an MVR check
