Landscape Architect/Designer – Sawyer | Berson – New York, NY
Sawyer | Berson Architecture & Landscape Architecture, LLP, an award-winning New York–based interdisciplinary design firm, seeks a highly motivated and skilled Landscape Architect/Designer for an in-person role in our Manhattan office. Our work includes high-end residential, institutional, and cultural projects throughout the United States and internationally. Ideal candidates are to be adept in all aspects of landscape architecture and design, including experience creating compelling presentation drawings, accurate construction details, and assisting Project Managers through all phases of design and construction. As a firm focused on a collaborative approach, candidates will be expected to interact with clients and project teams to develop rigorous solutions to design problems.
Requirements
Three to five years’ professional experience with a professional landscape architecture degree (BSLA or MLA). Professional licensure is a plus, but not required.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Ability to produce compelling digital and hand-rendered drawings.
Knowledge of plant materials, particularly plant hardiness zones 6 and 7, preferred.
Experience preparing complete construction drawing packages.
Study model construction experience is a plus.
A thorough appreciation of contemporary and historic landscapes.
Excellent problem-solving abilities.
The ability to work as part of a project team.
