Sawyer | Berson Architecture & Landscape Architecture, LLP, an award‑winning New York–based interdisciplinary design firm, seeks a highly motivated and skilled Architectural Designer for an in‑person role in our Manhattan office. Our work includes high‑end residential, institutional, and cultural projects throughout the United States and internationally.

Ideal candidates must have New York–based experience and be adept in all aspects of residential design, creating accurate construction details and administering a project through all phases. As a firm focused on a collaborative approach, candidates will be expected to interact with clients and project teams to develop rigorous solutions to design problems.

Requirements

Minimum two to five years’ professional experience with a professional architecture degree.

Experience in residential design (townhouses, apartments, condos, base building) with strong attention to design process, construction detailing, and developing a comprehensive drawing set.

Familiarity with landscape architecture and interior design.

Strong coordination and communication with consultants, clients, and colleagues.

Ability to take direction and initiative in problem‑solving without losing sight of product quality.

NYS/NYC code knowledge and permitting process with the building department.

Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.

A thorough appreciation of both modern and traditional design.
