CategoryHuman Resources* Review capabilities of payroll system and makes recommendations for updates and efficiencies with appropriate management team member(s)* Propose employee benefits enhancements to the General Manager and Controller* Manage the Club’s group insurance, unemployment and related benefits programs; communicate benefits information to staff* Facilitate bonus and commission payments in accordance with employment agreements* This role may also be assigned other duties as needed related to Benefits & Compensation* Coordinate, monitor and suggest improvements for the Club’s employee performance appraisal system* Manage the Club’s personnel program; assist in the development and implementation of applicable policies and procedures; process various labor staffing reports; coordinate software applications to generate required information* Maintain organizational charts* Develop personnel-related reports for the General Manager or department heads.* Manage employee recognition and retention programs* Enhance programming* Advise managers about discipline, discharge and related employment matters* Undertake special projects relating to job description and specification updates, performance appraisal improvements, wage and salary comparison surveys, long-range staff planning and other personnel issues* This role may also be assigned other duties as needed related to Employee Relations* Interact with Club’s attorney relative to personnel legal issues involving concerns about EEOC, harassment and lawsuits* Keep current with laws and regulations relating to employees; assure compliance with these laws and regulations; advise club managers as necessary* Continually review and assist in updating the employee handbook and personnel-related policies; assist in the management of the Club’s progressive discipline program; maintain Club policy manual* Coordinate all employee record-keeping functions in accordance with federal and state requirements* Interact with General Manager and department heads to investigate employee violations of Club policies and to recommend correction actions, if necessary* Oversee all work-related injury claims to ensure integrity, ongoing case management and reporting compliance* This role may also be assigned other duties as needed related to Compliance & Safety* B.S. Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources preferred* Designation such as PHR and SHRM preferred* 4+ years of Human Resources experience required* High energy with comfort being visible around the club and within each department’s team* Able to consistently uphold and share the importance of our core values to current and new employees* Actively seeks new opportunities to expand programming to grow culture and values* Expert in labor laws set by governing authorities and organizations* Excellent leadership, training and development skills* Strong decision-making skills* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills* Ability to comprehend complex language, theories and methodologies* Skillful in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint* Experience in a private club environment or hospitality field is preferred but not required #J-18808-Ljbffr
