Senior Marketing Manager
FedTech, Arlington, VA, United States
Job Description
If you’re a strategic, hands‑on marketing leader who enjoys driving impactful campaigns and translating ideas into measurable results – we’d love to connect!
Who we are:
FedTech is a group of entrepreneurially minded people on a mission to unlock the benefits of technology.
We believe in the value of deep tech and its positive impact on the world, aspiring to democratize access to it for entrepreneurs and professionals around the world.
We are venture builders who thrive at the intersection of U.S. entrepreneurship, breakthrough technologies, and mission‑driven organizations.
Since 2015, we have supported over 1,000 companies that have collectively raised more than $5B in funding, while also partnering with hundreds of corporate, government, and university clients.
What you’ll do: As a Senior Marketing Manager, you will own and drive end‑to‑end marketing strategy across a portfolio of clients and internal initiatives. This role goes beyond execution – you’ll shape how marketing supports technology commercialization, venture growth, and partner engagement. You’ll lead multi‑channel campaigns, guide cross‑functional teams, and translate data into clear business impact, while elevating FedTech’s overall marketing maturity and capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Marketing Leadership
Define and lead integrated marketing strategies aligned with client goals and FedTech’s broader mission in tech commercialization.
Serve as a thought partner to clients and internal stakeholders on go‑to‑market strategy, positioning, and growth channels.
Identify new opportunities to expand marketing impact across programs, ventures, and partnerships.
Own website performance as a marketing channel, directing an external agency on content updates, SEO optimization, and UX improvements while using GA4 to monitor traffic, user behavior, and conversion outcomes.
Oversee marketing tools and systems (HubSpot and other automation platforms) while managing budgets across stakeholders to ensure effective campaign execution, accurate tracking, and strong return on spend.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed.
Campaign Leadership
Own and oversee a portfolio of client engagements, ensuring clear strategy, measurable goals, and high‑quality execution while balancing competing priorities and serving as an advisor on complex or high‑visibility initiatives.
Oversee day‑to‑day marketing execution and manage production workflows across internal contributors and external vendors (copywriters, designers, video editors), owning quality, timelines, and budgets for all campaign deliverables.
Drive multi‑channel marketing efforts across social media, email, content, and SEO/SEM, continuously testing and optimizing to maximize performance and ROI.
Data‑Driven Decision Making
Establish KPIs and measurement frameworks that tie marketing efforts to business outcomes.
Maintain and deliver regular performance reporting (campaign, web, and pipeline dashboards) while translating analytics into actionable insights and strategic recommendations for clients and leadership.
Stakeholder Management
Build and maintain senior‑level client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on marketing strategy.
Clearly communicate performance, insights, and recommendations to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Educate stakeholders on marketing best practices and emerging trends.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Partner with program and growth teams to execute cohesive strategies.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed.
Help establish scalable processes, playbooks, and tools to improve team efficiency and consistency.
Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in marketing, with a strong track record of owning strategy, execution and measurable outcomes.
Experience in B2B marketing required; strong preference for B2G/public‑sector or deep‑tech environments.
Familiarity with government innovation ecosystems, tech commercialization, or deep‑tech ventures sufficient to independently evaluate and edit technical marketing content.
Experience building and executing full‑funnel marketing strategies.
Strong analytical skills with hands‑on experience using HubSpot, GA4 and performance reporting dashboards.
Ability to manage multiple clients or business lines simultaneously in fast‑paced, client‑facing environments.
Experience in marketing automation, email marketing, and lead nurturing best practices.
Working knowledge of creative tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) and ability to collaborate effectively with design teams.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present strategy, insights, and results to senior stakeholders.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to drive initiatives from concept to completion.
Our Values:
B - Oldness: We have the fortitude to forge new paths and push beyond our comfort.
U - Unity: We treat our clients, team members and partners as we would like to be treated - we are one united team.
I - Introspection: We recognize introspection is the necessary ingredient in which self‑improvement flourishes.
L - Leadership: We embrace servant leadership - putting the interests of client, team partners and partners first.
D - Decisiveness: We have a strong bias toward action.
Compensation:

The salary range listed for this position is based on market data and internal compensation structure. The final compensation package will be determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills and education.
