Environmental Services Director – Paoli Hospital, Paoli, PA
Aramark Healthcare+ is seeking a management professional for the Environmental Services Director position. The role leads the Environmental Services (Housekeeping) Department, ensuring overall cleanliness, patient room cleaning, bed turnaround, floor care, trash removal, and biohazardous waste handling. The Director drives patient satisfaction, improves HCAHPS scores, and maintains operational excellence.
Job Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, engage and develop teams; recruit, assess, train, coach, and manage performance; reward and recognize employees; ensure safety and sanitation standards.
Develop and maintain client and customer relationships; deliver excellent service; identify needs and communicate operational progress.
Build revenue and manage budget, including labor, supplies, equipment; maintain P&L statements; adopt Aramark processes; improve margins.
Implement and maintain GM agenda for labor and facilities initiatives; create value through efficient operations, cost controls and profit management.
Ensure full compliance with Operational Excellence fundamentals for facilities and labor targets.
Plan, control and direct all cleaning, sanitizing and waste removal functions to meet operating and financial goals.
Own operational management and financial performance of the unit.
Model leadership behaviors; ensure the highest levels of safety, quality and service excellence for employees, clients and consumers.
Coach employees to achieve shared goals and manage team meetings.
Qualifications
3‑5 years of experience, including 3‑5 years in a management role overseeing hourly and salaried staff.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Healthcare experience required.
Management experience in Environmental Services, housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial services required.
