Senior Pastor - Wagner Community Church, Wagner, SD

We are actively seeking a new pastor who will partner with our leadership board and congregation to help shape and lead us toward an exciting and purposeful future.
Education:
Bible or Theology degree at undergraduate level or higher
Credentialed and licensed by the C&MA or working toward it/willing to work toward it
Pastoral Experience:
3 - 5 years ministry experience as an associate or lead pastor
A demonstrated commitment to the spiritual growth and health of the local church
Ministry Strengths:
Biblical Teaching/Preaching
Solid, biblically based teaching and preaching
Doctrinally sound, including a firm belief in the inerrancy and authority of Scripture
A heart for the lost
Leadership & Ministry Development
Able to lead as well as help others develop leadership skills
Empowers others to lead in their own gifting and ministry areas
Community Involvement and Teamwork
Have a presence in the community
Relates well to others in one on one, small group, and large group settings.

Church Unity & Growth
Equipping the body
Family:
Single or married
If married, wife is willing to participate in church life. She is free to use her gifts and abilities as she believes God is leading her, whether within or outside the local church
Be willing and adaptable to living in a small town
Personality Style:
Excellent relationship-building skills, coupled with a desire to engage both in the church and the community.
Good listener
Shepherd/Authentic Caring - willing to visit the congregation
A genuine love for people and a commitment to collaborative work with church leaders and congregation members
