Overview
Northwest Community Church (Malcolm, NE) is seeking a full‑time Senior Pastor to preach the Word of God and equip the saints for ministry. We are praying for a man who models a strong walk with Christ, has a clear calling to pastoral ministry, and will lead our congregation in lifting up Jesus and loving one another. A strong candidate should have strong pulpit skills in exegetical and expository preaching and be able to communicate the Bible clearly and practically.
Responsibilities Primary responsibilities include providing spiritual leadership through preaching, teaching, pastoral care, and visits as needed. The senior pastor will lead the congregation’s worship, oversee ministry teams, and ensure the church’s vision is faithfully implemented.
Requirements
Bi‑degree or higher from a Bible college or theological seminary.
At least five years of pastorship in a lead pastor role.
Endorsement of the constitutions and bylaws of both Northwest Community Church and the Berean Fellowship of Churches (BFC).
Commitment to the Full Doctrinal Statement of Northwest Community Church.
Who We Are Affiliated with the Berean Fellowship of Churches, NCC was founded in 1988 with a passion for reaching northwest Lancaster County (Nebraska) and the surrounding area with the Gospel of Christ while making disciples through Biblical instruction. Our current staff includes a part‑time Executive Pastor, a full‑time Youth Pastor, and a secretary. Nearly 90 families call NCC home, and we serve a church family of about 100 members with an average Sunday attendance of 155. NCC also runs active children’s, youth, men’s, and women’s ministries, growth groups, and supports eight missionary families.
Where We Are Malcolm is a village about 10 miles northwest of Lincoln, the state capital, with roughly 480 residents. The area is surrounded by farms and the Branched Oak Lake state recreation area. The village is a bedroom community with many residents commuting to Lincoln for work. Public schools enroll about 640 students with class sizes of 50–55.
Benefits The compensation package ranges from $55‑90K annually, includes a housing stipend, insurance, retirement plan, reimbursable expense account, paid vacation and holidays, family/sick leave, disability coverage, and a sabbatical every seventh year.
