The Role

Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Sales Manager – Canola, Western Canada will lead, coach, and develop a team of Territory Managers across Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and the Peace region. This role is critical in driving consistent execution of sales strategies, strengthening retailer relationships, and improving regional sales performance and alignment. The Sales Manager (Canola) will act as the primary canola sales team leader, ensuring Territory Managers are equipped with the tools, training, and strategic direction required to achieve business objectives and support product adoption in the field. Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Coaching

Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team of Territory Managers across Western Canada Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance reviews, and territory planning discussions Identify skill gaps and support targeted development initiatives Sales Execution & Territory Performance

Ensure consistent execution of sales programs, early‑booking initiatives, and in‑season priorities Drive adoption of new canola hybrids and support product launches Monitor competitive activity and provide market insights Forecasting & Business Planning

Lead regional forecasting processes and monitor pipeline health and performance against targets Identify opportunities and risks, recommending actions to maximize growth Strengthen relationships with regional retail partners, agronomists, and key growers Support retail training, product positioning, and program execution Represent CANTERRA SEEDS at field days, customer events, and industry meetings Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with marketing, product, and operations teams to ensure alignment Provide field insights to support portfolio decisions and strategic initiatives Qualifications

7+ years of agricultural sales experience, preferably within seed or crop inputs Proven leadership experience managing sales teams or large territories Strong agronomic knowledge, particularly in canola production Demonstrated ability to coach, motivate, and develop high-performing teams Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills Ability and willingness to travel extensively across Western Canada Post‑secondary education in agriculture, business, or a related field is preferred If you are a driven agricultural sales leader who thrives on coaching teams, building strong customer relationships, and executing strategic growth initiatives, we encourage you to apply.
