Position Overview Raven’s Claw Golf Club is seeking a Golf Course Assistant Superintendent to join our grounds and agronomy team. This is a hands‑on role responsible for supporting the daily maintenance and overall management of the golf course while ensuring exceptional playing conditions.

The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent, assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of turfgrass maintenance, irrigation, and course operations.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with daily golf course maintenance operations, including mowing, trimming, and course setup

Support turf management practices such as fertilization, aerification, topdressing, and pest control

Assist with irrigation system monitoring, scheduling, troubleshooting, and repairs

Maintain greens, tees, fairways, bunkers, and roughs to high‑quality standards

Operate, maintain, and oversee golf course equipment and machinery

Assist in planning and executing course improvement projects

Support record keeping, reporting, and data tracking related to turf health and maintenance practices

Ensure compliance with safety procedures and environmental guidelines

Assist in training and supervising grounds staff as needed

Qualifications

Degree or certification in: (preferred)

Turfgrass Management

Agronomy

Horticulture

Environmental Science or related field

2+ years of experience in golf course maintenance or turf management preferred

Strong knowledge of turfgrass practices and agronomic principles

Experience with irrigation systems and equipment operation

Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to take initiative

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Valid driver’s license required

Physical Requirements

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical labor for extended periods

Compensation & Details

Full‑time, hourly position
