At O'Donnell/Snider Construction, marketing plays a critical role in how we win work, build relationships, and position ourselves in the market.
We’re looking for a Marketing Director to lead our marketing function across pursuit strategy, brand positioning, and team development. This role is a key partner to executive leadership and will directly influence how we compete, grow, and scale.
What You’ll Do Lead Pursuit Strategy & Positioning
Drive capture planning and strategy for key pursuits before proposals begin
Partner with operations and business development leaders to define win strategies
Shape messaging, differentiators, and interview strategies that help us win work
Own Brand & Market Positioning
Elevate how we tell the story of our projects, people, and client success
Ensure consistency across proposals, marketing materials, and communications
Identify opportunities to strengthen our brand in target markets
Lead & Develop the Marketing Team
Manage and mentor a team of 3 marketing professionals
Build structure, accountability, and growth paths within the team
Elevate the function from execution-focused to strategic and proactive
Drive Process Improvement & Efficiency
Improve proposal workflows and overall marketing operations
Optimize the use of tools such as Procore, Monday, and other platforms
Implement systems that allow marketing to scale with company growth
Enhance Client Experience & Retention
Support client engagement and retention strategies
Collaborate with project teams to highlight milestones and successes
Identify ways marketing can strengthen long‑term client relationships
Act as a Strategic Partner to Leadership
Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership on marketing and pursuit strategy
Bring solutions and recommendations—not just updates
Represent marketing in cross‑functional conversations across the organization
What We’re Looking For
8 - 12 years of experience in AEC marketing, pursuit strategy, or related leadership roles
Proven experience leading capture strategies, proposals, and interviews for complex projects
Strong leadership experience with the ability to develop and mentor a team
Ability to translate technical project information into clear, compelling messaging
Experience working closely with operations, preconstruction, and executive leadership
Process-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
