Aftermarket Product Manager

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Priority setting on key product developments and strategies including the develop and implement product line strategies that meet current and future market needs and achieve profitability and growth objectives

Product positioning and new product development that meet current and future market needs and achieve divisional profitability and growth objectives

Introduce, update, and improve existing product offerings throughout product life cycle: new product development, release to market, stock category changes and deletions

Develop product line business assessments, strategy development, AOP forecast, competitive position analysis, development of product road map and AOP action plans

Develop pricing strategies based on competitive studies, customer channels and product profitability strategies

Gap analysis: Research OE and AM competitor catalogs and programs to identify gaps in range

Data analytics based on market research data

Ongoing, daily product line maintenance including new part number additions, obsolescence and supersessions, catalog & E‑commerce maintenance (descriptions, data corrections, etc.)

Maintain / update product popularity lists, product lifecycle codes

Maintain / update competitive cross reference data; ensure alignment with pricing team

Ensure data feed to ERP / PIM / Pricing systems is complete and accurate

Preparation of product support materials for field sales team, including technical bulletins and training materials

Assist in developing strategic sourcing and manufacturing strategy, based on global product requirements

Support & execute service part launch tactics for OES customers

Maintain effective contacts with and coordinate actions with Engineering, Sales, Purchasing, Operations, Quality, Field Service, Marketing and Aftermarket functions

Support Year/Make/Model data in industry standard formats (ACES / Tec-doc)

Support customer line review and stocking strategies to maximize channel sales

Technical service to customer and troubleshooting. Customer Service Support

COMMERCIAL & MARKETING RELATED

Direct overall pricing strategies for new product, models, and features

Working with Sales and Finance, establish pricing and other financial details for strategic actions

Lead and develop business plans and appropriation requests for major product introductions

Establish relationships with key customers, Industry suppliers and Industry specialists to communicate value added benefits of products and solutions and to understand customer needs

Education and Qualifications

Bachelors Degree Preferred in Business Administration or Engineering.

Aftermarket product management experience preferred

Experienced in Aftermarket product management

Strong technical background

Excellent communication and organization skills

Demonstrated ability to be proactive and think forward

Proven problem‑solving skills and the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines

Ability to initiate and complete projects on your own

Must have strong time management skills.

Strong analytical skills, organizational skills and proven aptitude for numbers

Able to effectively interface with other disciplines in the organization to achieve results.

Passionate, energetic, with a desire to drive results

Proficient technical skills in FileMaker and Microsoft Office; Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
