Summary:
The Property Management Specialist is responsible for the accountability, control, and documentation of organizational equipment and assets. This role supports property lifecycle management by receiving, inspecting, securing, and tracking equipment, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with inventory processes.
Responsibilities Essential Job Functions:
Process incoming receipts for equipment
Shall inspect new equipment ensuring receipt of shipping documents, inventory of associated components and accessories, and validation of manufacturer part numbers, serial/registration numbers, and quantities
Shall secure all non-expendable and durable equipment until a signed custodian action list or DA Form 3161 is received from the end user
Shall prepare an inventory schedule for semi-annual and annual inventories, track, schedule a date to pick up the hand-held terminal, notify and report on all Hand Receipt Holders (HRHs) and assist HRHs with processing sub-hand receipt procedures
Ensure all supporting documents are included for each equipment document file, (acquisition paperwork, signed packing slip, custodian action list to add and transfer equipment, and any adjustments)
Ensure a separate supporting document file is kept for all Capital Equipment
Review property/equipment requests to ensure requests were made using the correct materiel stock numbers, units of issue, and materiel names
Qualifications Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or related field preferred
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in logistics, supply chain management or property Management. Experience with military logistics systems (DMLSS, FEDLOG, WEBFLIS, LOGICOLE, DLA ECAT/DAAP) preferred
Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Valid driver's license
Forklift/MHE certification (if applicable)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Government forms and procedures (DD Forms, DA Forms, DLA Forms, DHA Forms) preferred
Pay and Benefits The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $88,000 annually.
