The Role We are seeking an
Associate, Insurance Senior Business Analyst
to help lead the charge in launching and scaling SoFi’s insurance platform. In this “0 to 1” role, you will be responsible for laying the foundation of our Insurance products, driving cross-functional priorities, and ensuring the business’ long‑term health.
What You’ll Do
Support the Business Lead in all facets of the insurance business
Partner with cross‑functional leaders from Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Legal, Compliance and more to ensure we are helping our members Get Their Money Right
Drive external partnership conversations with insurance counterparts
Own the “source of truth” for the Insurance portfolio. Design and maintain rigorous reporting dashboards to track KPIs such as origination volume, cost of acquisition (CAC), delinquency rates, and net promoter score (NPS)
Monitor portfolio performance daily; identify trends and “get to the truth” behind the data to help arrive at strategic decisions
Drive the daily operations of the insurance funnel, identifying friction points and working with product & operations to implement iterative improvements
Identify insurance growth opportunities to drive member penetration
What You’ll Need
Experience:
2+ years of experience in insurance, consulting or investment banking roles with specific exposure to insurance (property & casualty or life insurance preferred).
Relationship Management:
Demonstrated capabilities to manage third‑party vendors or complex partnerships, driving value and accountability.
Analytical Skills:
Strong data fluency. Comfortable using SQL, Tableau, or Excel/Google Sheets to manipulate large datasets and derive business insights.
Cross‑Functional Leadership:
Ability to influence without authority and work effectively with technical and non‑technical teams (Engineering, Legal, Compliance).
Product Development:
Experience developing products or partnering with product organization to launch consumer and small business lending.
Nice to Have
Experience working in a high‑growth, agile Fintech environment.
Experience working at a highly regulated institution (i.e. a Bank)
Compensation and Benefits The base pay range for this role is $105,600.00 – $198,000.00. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location. Payment frequency: Annual.
