This full time, permanent Mechanical Process Designer opening is at a growing, diverse, custom structural, system and metal component manufacturer. Customers are diverse and include biotechnology, food and pharmaceutical companies. The company promotes from within and does not hold employees back from growing their skillset and careers. Numerous advancement opportunities will exist as the company continues to grow. This smaller company values employees and treats employees well. The company has been in existence for approximately 30 years and employs approximately 100 employees. The company has not experienced a layoff since 2007.
The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate are as follows:
Develop intricate 3D models and piping assemblies for custom modular process systems using SolidWorks, ensuring precision for sanitary fabrications Engineer construction drawings and support documentation, including comprehensive bills of materials (BOMs) and technical manuals for high-end global clients Collaborate directly with Project Engineers and Managers to translate technical requirements into functional, manufacturable designs Interface with the production floor to resolve real-time manufacturing challenges and integrate design improvements into master system layouts Provide technical design support across cross-functional departments, including Sales and Quality Control, to ensure all systems meet strict industry standards (Biotech/Pharma).
The background of the successful candidate must include the following:
An Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Design or a related technical field A strong proficiency in SolidWorks 3D and Microsoft Excel; experience with sanitary piping or modular system fabrication is a major plus Technical Aptitude: A willingness to learn or a current proficiency in fluid mechanics and electrical controls Career Drive: A desire to grow within a "flat" organization that rewards technical ability and work ethic with advancement into leadership A solid and stable work history reflecting commitment to previous employers Being a US citizen or Green Card holder with a residence within a 45-minute drive of Jefferson, WI
