Job Description Summary The Multifamily Assistant Property Manager is responsible for maintaining our communities to a market-ready standard and ensuring a high level of service at all times. They build and motivate high‑performing teams to maximize the performance of the property.

Essential Job Duties
Ensure the smooth running of the community in a fast‑paced environment.
Assist the Property Manager with overall operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, audits, etc.
Provide superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects to enhance satisfaction and increase renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability.
Complete lease/renewal paperwork to meet company standards.
Track and evaluate advertising and client traffic.
Maintain and model the Cushman & Wakefield mission as the best national management company.
Ensure Cushman & Wakefield policies and procedures are followed by the on‑site team.
Hire, interview, and coach on‑site staff as necessary.
Maintain residents' files in accordance with company standards.
Resolve conflicts promptly and follow up consistently to maintain a positive living environment.
Manage all aspects of the community budget and finances.
Work with leasing staff to ensure leasing/marketing goals are met.
Competencies
Effective communication and customer service skills.
Computer literate, including Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation.
General office, bookkeeping, and sales skills with excellent oral and written communication.
Ability to determine leasing opportunities and set performance goals for staff.
Supervise day‑to‑day operations, ensuring all C&W policies and procedures are followed.
Manage a team.
Perform any related duties as required or assigned.
Important Education
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
High school diploma, GED, technical or vocational school required.
Important Experience
3+ years on‑site multifamily property management experience required, including leasing and assistant property manager positions.
Yardi systems experience required.
On‑site schedule Monday‑Friday with fill‑in weekend shifts as needed.
1+ year delinquency experience required; strong preference for court/eviction experience.
Strong preference for on‑site large‑scale CapEx renovation exposure, luxury/class‑A property experience, highrise, >250 prior units in the Atlanta market, and use of Knock and/or Ops Technologies systems.
Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Regular travel between properties in varying weather conditions is required.
Physical Demands Employees may need to stand and walk for extended periods, ascend and descend staircases or ladders, travel outdoors between buildings, and remain stationary for 85% of the time. The role may involve lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally or frequently. Travel up to 15% of the time, with varying frequency and duration.
