Job Overview:
Miri Capital seeks to hire an experienced Korean private equity investment professional to play a leadership role in unlocking and maximizing shareholder value in Korean companies.This is a role requiring significant entrepreneurial drive, accompanied with unique career development opportunities.

Miri Capital seeks to hire an individual with expertise in one or multiple of the following fields:private equity post-merger integration (value-up”), public market shareholder-value engagement, or management consulting. The successful candidate will have a broad array of responsibilities, with multiple ways to add value across our portfolio companies.

Responsibilities include:

Engage with our public portfolio companies in Korea; make recommendations to unlock and improve public market recognition of shareholder value.

Manage strategic deal processes - including engaging directly with top management of our portfolio companies, manage advisor and financier relationships, due diligence, deal structuring, valuation analysis, and value-up strategy.

Consistent support and engagement with privately-owned businesses, including hiring key personnel and KPI management.Potential to join the board of directors of portfolio companies.

Advise portfolio company M&A strategy and play key role in hiring additional personnel as needed.Advise capital allocation and fund management strategies.

Fundamental analysis of publicly traded and private companies.

Location: Our offices in USA (Boston or Seattle area), Tokyo, or potential to open an office in Singapore

The employee is expected to spend a significant amount of time traveling, including in Korea, and working in Korean business hours.Authorization to work in the USA, Japan, or Singapore is preferred.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Substantial experience as a private equity or engagement fund professional in Korea; we are also considering candidates with substantial “value-up” experience outside of these fields.

Additional experience in corporate finance/strategy/M&A, consulting, law, investment banking, and accounting firms is desirable.

Strong network of Korean contacts, including private equity, investment firms, potential board members, investment banking, law, corporate management teams, etc.

Fluency in Korean and English is required.

Entrepreneurial drive.We are looking for a self-motivated, creative thinker, who can help lead a critical function of our firm, with the potential for a future leadership role.

Familiarity with financial analysis software and data, including Bloomberg, Capital IQ, or similar systems, is desirable.

Experience in financial modeling, forecasting and valuation.

Graduate level degrees relevant to the posting are preferred, including MBA, CFA.
