What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Prepare and coordinate analyses of monthly and quarterly loss reserves
Perform complex analysis of data with minimal oversight
Research and develop new methodologies for loss reserving in Commercial insurance
Evaluate analytical work performed by others and provide recommendations
Train and mentor Actuarial Analysts
What is Required (Qualifications):
BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in statistical and actuarial analysis for Commercial or Personal lines insurance
Completion of 5 or more actuarial exams
Proficiency in statistical analysis and programming languages such as SQL, R, and Python
Strong analytical and communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience with actuarial analysis on Commercial Auto lines insurance
Effective computer software programming skills
Proven problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Basic knowledge of the actuarial industry
