About Loray Group Loray Group is a growing construction and development firm specializing in residential and commercial construction throughout the DC Metro area.

Position Overview The Superintendent is responsible for managing on-site construction activities, coordinating field crews and subcontractors, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring work is completed according to plans, specifications, and schedule. This role is critical to maintaining quality control, job‑site efficiency, and strong field leadership across active projects.

Key Responsibilities Field Leadership

Oversee daily site operations across multiple projects ranging from $500,000 to $3 million+

Provide supervisory direction to internal or external site leaders

Manage productivity, safety, quality, and schedule adherence

Coordinate and interface effectively with subcontractors and other superintendents

Assist in schedule planning, determining labor levels, material quantities, and equipment needs

Monitor field labor time and material usage

Review and verify RFIs in coordination with the Project Manager

Resolve day‑to‑day field issues proactively

Prepare detailed daily reports documenting manpower and significant activities

Schedule & Quality Control

Meet weekly with the Project Manager to ensure the project remains on schedule and to coordinate site activities proactively

Identify and resolve field conflicts before they impact schedule or budget

Ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and building codes

Maintain high quality control standards

Manage punch lists and coordinate final inspections

Communication & Coordination

Provide daily progress updates to the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager

Coordinate deliveries and material staging

Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites

Serve as the primary on‑site point of contact for subcontractors and inspectors

Qualifications

5 or more years of construction field leadership experience

Experience supervising multiple trades

Residential and commercial construction experience required

Experience self‑performing scopes of work preferred

Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and building codes

Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications

Comfortable using construction technology and project management software

Proficient with basic computer tools including Excel and Word

Strong documentation skills and attention to detail

Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills

Bilingual English and Spanish preferred

Valid driver’s license

OSHA 30 certification preferred
