GTU is hiring a
Senior SEO & GEO Strategist
to serve as a
client-facing search authority
who can independently run SEO and GEO engagements while reporting directly to the Director of SEO & GEO. This role is designed to
enable the Director in most day-to-day client interactions,
while maintaining clear strategic oversight, task execution, and escalation paths. What You’ll Own
Lead SEO & GEO strategy for assigned multi-location and enterprise clients Run recurring client meetings independently Present SEO roadmaps, GEO initiatives, and prioritization clearly Handle client questions, pushback, and expectation management Escalate only when strategic direction or risk requires it Translate SEO and GEO strategy into actionable roadmaps Own execution across:
Technical SEO Content & location-page strategy Local SEO & GBP optimization Entity authority and AI citation readiness
Apply GEO principles pragmatically — systems over experiments Internal Coordination
Coordinate with PMs, content, dev, and analytics teams Ensure delivery aligns with strategy and scope Make prioritization decisions when capacity or timelines shift Maintain delivery quality without micromanagement Standards & Quality Control
Enforce GTU SEO and GEO best practices Maintain consistency across location-level SEO programs Contribute to evolving GTU’s SEO/GEO frameworks What Success Looks Like
Clients treat you as their primary SEO authority SEO/GEO calls run without Director involvement Work ships cleanly with minimal rework The Director of SEO & GEO is looped in only for:
Strategic pivots Pattern-level issues Framework evolution
GA4, GSC, Looker Studio, BigQuery, ChatGPT, Gemini WhiteSpark, Local Falcon, DataForSEO, SERP APIs, Python, Internal dashboards and analytics pipelines AI tools for research, synthesis, and reporting Why This Role Matters

senior execution and communication role
