Job Description We are looking for a Senior Cloud Application Architect
to join a large team that is providing lifecycle support for a scalable NextGen space resiliency / flight safety program. In this role you will help us design and architect the most efficient solutions that automate and shorten the time it takes to get new capabilities from development to production to support mission critical operations. You will apply your software development experience to modernize and streamline the software development lifecycle from development through production using the latest cloud-native managed services. You will lead the adoption of open-source tools, automation, and infrastructure as code, working within Agile teams to build enterprise solutions that make it easier and more secure to move code from concept to production. In this role, you will collaborate with high-performing teams to design and implement continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines that accelerate the delivery of mission-critical applications and services supporting the nation’s intelligence systems.
Requirements / Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent field and 10 years of relevant experience
TS/SCI security clearance w/ CI Poly
5 years of experience with AWS
Experience with deploying, configuring, and maintaining Linux server systems in the Cloud
5+ years of experience working with microservices and containerization, including orchestration, cluster management, and container storage, including Docker, Kubernetes, or Rancher
2+ years of experience developing and deploying microservice architectures
Experience with scripting languages
Ability to obtain a Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 months of start date
Bonus Skills
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Rancher, Container D
Experience with Bitbucket, JIRA, and Confluence
Experience with an Agile release methodology
Experience with developing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Ruby, ArgoCD, BitBucket, GitLab)
Experience with Terraform, AWS CLI, Elastic Search, AWS CloudWatch
Experience with Serverless, including Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, and SAM
Experience with securing and hardening operating systems, applications, and containers
Experience with application management and providing high availability and resilient solutions using methods, including clustering or failover
Experience with application performance analysis and monitoring, including Elasticsearch Logstash Kibana (ELK), Prometheus, and Grafana
Background in any of the following areas: Orbital Dynamics, Astrodynamics, Aerospace Engineering, Flight Safety, Space Domain Awareness, Satellite Conjunction Analysis, or SAR phenomenology
