Sales Engineer Description Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a Sales Engineer to join their team. With a focus on the Midwest-Ohio Valley territory, you will be responsible for distributor management and work alongside the sales teams of large distributors to provide sales and technical assistance during their meetings with customers. You will also work with directly with customers to propose and quote custom solutions. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of rotating equipment (mixers, pumps, agitators, etc.). To thrive in this role, you must be an excellent listener with effective interpersonal skills. Sales Engineer Responsibilities
Obtain and maintain an in-depth technical knowledge of the product lines
Provide sales and technical assistance to distributors
Conduct pre-sale activities and travel to customer sites
Interpret plans, specifications, and interface with customers to determine needs
Develop and implement customized demonstrations
Design and quote solutions based on gathered information
Maintain communication throughout the entire sales process
Deliver timely support
Sales Engineer Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
4+ years of industrial sales experience required
Working knowledge of rotating equipment (mixers, pumps, agitators, etc.) required
Proficiency with CRMs (Salesforce or similar) required
Ability to travel up to 40% of the time required
