Regional Sales Manager – Central Midwest
Remote (Need to be home based in the Kansas City, MO area)
About the Opportunity An established manufacturer of engineered industrial safety products is seeking a
Regional Sales Manager
to drive growth across the Central Midwest region.
This is a
specification-driven, consultative sales role
focused on industrial markets. The position offers full ownership of a multi-state territory and the opportunity to work closely with end users, engineering firms, and EPC contractors on project-based opportunities.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in
engineered or technical product sales , with experience influencing decisions early in the design and specification process.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a regional sales strategy to drive revenue growth and expand market presence
Identify and secure new business opportunities while growing existing accounts
Call on
industrial end users, A/E firms, engineers, and EPC contractors
Influence product specifications and position solutions as the basis of design on capital projects
Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through close
Build relationships across operations, safety, engineering, and executive leadership
Travel approximately 50–75% within the territory
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in
industrial, engineered, or technical product sales
Proven success in
specification-driven and project-based sales environments
Experience selling into
capital projects
with long sales cycles
Strong ability to engage engineers, project managers, and industrial decision-makers
Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Consultative, value-based selling approachExperience in
manufacturing, Food & Beverage, utilities, energy, or related industrial sectors
preferred
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
