Job Summary We are seeking a strategic Sales Operations Analyst to support our commercial organization through data-driven insights, forecasting, and cross-functional coordination. This role serves as a critical bridge between sales, finance, operations, and supply chain teams, translating market dynamics and sales data into actionable intelligence that drives business decisions and revenue growth. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical capabilities with excellent communication skills to support strategic decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with Sales Ops Coordinators to obtain actionable information from sales, translating and coordinating data analytics to manufacturing and supply chain to drive product availability.
Analyze historical sales data, pipeline metrics, and market trends to develop accurate demand forecasts across product lines and geographic regions.
Design, implement, and maintain dashboards and KPIs that track sales performance, pipeline health, market penetration, and forecasting accuracy.
Track performance metrics and program milestones to identify and implement solutions and process improvements in support of continuous improvement and agility.
Serve as the communication bridge between Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and other functional teams to align priorities, timelines, and resource planning.
Collaborate with sales leadership and regional teams to validate projections, identify potential variances, and refine forecasting models to support production planning and inventory management.
Monitor and evaluate macroeconomic factors, construction industry indicators, and sector-specific trends that impact demand for mechanical systems and fire protection products.
Assess how economic shifts, infrastructure spending, building codes, and regulatory changes influence sales opportunities and customer purchasing patterns.
Partner with internal and external market research teams to gather competitive intelligence and identify emerging market opportunities across commercial, institutional, and industrial segments.
Conduct research on industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to support strategic decision-making.
Prepare executive updates, cross-functional briefings, and initiative reports.
Provide regular reporting and ad-hoc analysis to sales leadership, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities that require attention or action.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in sales operations, business analysis, financial planning, project management, supply chain management, or a related field.
Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or Tableau).
Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce or similar) and business intelligence platforms.
Demonstrated success in cross-functional coordination and communication.
Strong analytical, organizational, and written communication skills.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Understanding of B2B sales environments, particularly in manufacturing or construction-related industries.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree (MBA or related field) is a plus but not required.
Experience in or exposure to Commercial Mechanical, Fire Protection, and Infrastructure Markets, EPC account management, MEP systems, and technical sales environments.
Knowledge of construction industry trends and dynamics.
Experience with demand planning or forecasting methodologies.
Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous process improvement methodologies.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, demanding environment.
Experience implementing and using artificial intelligence (AI) platforms to enhance operational efficiency.
Skills & Competencies This role requires exceptional analytical thinking with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders. Success requires strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration, attention to detail in data management, and comfort with ambiguity when working with incomplete information. Self-motivation, intellectual curiosity about market dynamics, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential.
Travel
Must be willing to travel up to 10-15% of time to client locations and project sites as needed.
