Position Summary We are seeking skilled Sheet Metal Installers to join our Mechanical team for ongoing projects at King's Bay Naval Base, GA and the surrounding area. All work is performed on the military installation and is compensated in accordance with the required Davis‑Bacon prevailing wage specific to the base.
Sheet Metal Installers are responsible for fabricating and installing ductwork, air distribution systems, and HVAC equipment on active construction sites. All work must comply with applicable codes and standards. This role requires the technical application of mechanical principles and the use of proper tools and equipment, while maintaining strict adherence to safety practices in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay Range: $18.62 - $44.00 per hour DOE

Paid Time Off: 1 week vacation plus accrued sick time
Requirements for this Position
High school diploma or G.E.D. (minimum education)
4 or more years (or equivalent) field or trade experience as a journey‑level sheet metal worker in a commercial or facilities operations environment
Government, military, or large commercial/industrial construction experience (preferred)
Experience working in High Bay environments and with turning vanes (preferred)
Extensive rigging experience (preferred)
Hoisting certifications (preferred)
Access to SUBASE Kings Bay limited to United States citizens only; other work authorizations are not considered for this location
All candidates will be required to provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire, and must pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check for access to the job site (if applicable)
