We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Custom Jewelry Sales Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a jewelry professional who brings both strong sales ability and a genuine commitment to exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
Consult with clients by appointment to understand their vision, budget, and style preferences for custom jewelry pieces including Remakes, Wedding Bands, and Engagement Rings.
Leverage your expertise to educate clients on gemstones, diamonds, precious metals, and design options.
Follow through with clients on each step of the design process from initial consultation, sourcing gemstones, artwork, wax molds, and final production.
Present design concepts, pricing, and timelines to clients in a clear and compelling manner.
Negotiate sales, close deals, and exceed sales targets.
Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire custom design process, ensuring client satisfaction at every step.
Stay up-to-date on current jewelry trends and design styles.
Develop relationships and work closely with manufacturers, gem dealers, and other vendors to ensure production timeline is being met.
Process sales transactions efficiently and accurately using our point-of-sale (POS) system.
Learn and become proficient in using our POS and other systems to complete all transactions, manage inventory, and access client order information.
Develop an understanding of our jewelry selection, including materials, gemstones, and styles to be able to assist customers.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, preferably within the jewelry industry.
Proven ability to build rapport with clients quickly, actively listen to their needs, and demonstrate a genuine desire to exceed their expectations.
Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Strong creativity and the ability to translate client visions into tangible design concepts.
Flexibility and adaptability to work effectively with a diverse range of clients and design styles.
A passion for jewelry and a keen eye for detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technology.
Creativity and willingness to overcome obstacles in the face of challenges.
GIA (Gemological Institute of America) certification, such as Graduate Gemologist (GG), or equivalent gemology training preferred, but not required.
