Position Details City of Auburn is looking to fill the
Graphic Designer
position in our Administration Department. This is a regular, full‑time role responsible for graphic design, desktop publishing, multimedia services, audio‑visual system support, video production assistance, print services coordination, and bridging communication between multimedia services and city customers.
Primary Duties
Primary contact for graphic design and publication layout for all printed and digital materials based on layout principles, city standards, and aesthetic design concepts.
Develop graphics, logos, and illustrations for all multimedia mediums.
Assist with completing work requests for multimedia services and meet appropriate deadlines.
Assist with print shop services including mail processing, copier and bindery service, and printing.
Advise customers on the most efficient methods of reproduction for particular work requests and make recommendations for production improvements and priorities.
Assist in instructing, documenting, and teaching users how to operate audio‑visual equipment during council meetings, presentations, training events, and on off‑site video and photo shoots.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate of Arts (AA) degree from an accredited design or trade school.
Three (3) years of work‑related experience demonstrating the above knowledge, skills, and abilities; or any combination of relevant education and experience that would demonstrate the ability to successfully perform the essential elements and responsibilities listed above.
