Saint Mary School has been providing excellent academic experiences and religious formation to the children of the northwest suburbs since 1855. Saint Mary School is searching for a part-time Athletic Director to join this tradition of excellence. We are looking for a candidate who supports the values of Catholic education, and who sees athletics as a key part of educating the whole child and an effective way to teach valuable life-lessons.
Candidates must love working with children, serve as a role model, and strive to always do what is best for students. Collaboration, willingness to work as a member of a team, and dedication to life-long learning and professional growth are essential traits of candidates.

Interacts in a positive and constructive way with others Effectively communicates Organized Knowledge of the school athletic programs Ability to work afternoons, evenings and weekends as needed
Responsibilities And Duties
Establish and chair the Athletic Board Recruit and screen potential coaches for each sport Host a coaches meeting at the beginning of the year to clarify Saint Mary Athletics Association (SMAA) policies and coaching expectations Oversee distribution and collection of swipe keys for coaches Prepare budget for Business Manager Confirm conference has scheduled referees and schedule referee payment with the Parish Office Send billing to Parish Office for each sport on a timely basis Maintain record of expenses and receipts for SMAA expenses Order and coordinate awards for 8th Grade Award End of Year Banquet Server as liaison and attend meeting for SMAA and Northwest Catholic Conference Attend monthly Athletic Director meetings Attend scheduling meetings for athletics teams Maintain Athletic Calendar Plan and facilitate Tournament Competitions at Saint Mary Schedule athletic events and gym in coordination with the Office Manager and Facilities Manager Purchase equipment and uniforms for teams as needed Communicate with parents and coaches regarding the athletics program Collect and maintain paperwork, and ensure compliance for athletic physicals and waivers Make plans for supervision of all athletic events at Saint Mary Adhere to the Athletic Handbook

This position has an annualized hourly range of $18.00 - $20.00. An employee’s pay within the hourly range will be based on many factors including but not limited to: relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and organizational needs.
