One of our key businesses, located in San Diego, California, is seeking a talented Website Operations & Data Specialist to join the team.
Position Overview:
The Website Operations & Data Specialist role is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the data powering our e-commerce website, with a specific focus on accurate product data. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a strong customer focus. to help drive online sales and improve website performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain product listings, including descriptions, pricing, images, specifications and inventory to ensure the online store remains accurate and up to date.
Monitor and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the sales data-flow pipeline – for the website, Patio Productions showroom and the call center.
Execute website merchandising strategies by organizing product categories, highlighting featured products, and optimizing the customer shopping experience from the department page to the PDP.
Monitor website analytics, sales data, and conversion rates to identify opportunities for improvement and implement strategies to enhance performance.
Collaborate with internal developers or third-party agencies to troubleshoot issues, implement updates, and enhance website functionality.
Generate daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports to identify trends, top-performing products or brands, and other key performance metrics.
Share insights and data-driven recommendations with leadership and cross-functional teams to support strategic decision-making.
Assist with SEO-driven content projects to improve organic search visibility and website traffic.
As needed, participate in marketing initiatives including social media efforts, product video coordination, and website promotions to support brand visibility and sales growth.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required, with preference for majors in computer science, business, data analysis or other quantitative fields.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in e-commerce website management, web design, or a related role.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Solid understanding of SEO best practices and online merchandising strategies.
Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Experience collaborating with marketing teams, developers, or external vendors is preferred.
Ability to troubleshoot website issues, optimize site performance, and implement website security best practices.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Other Skills:
Fluent with Excel and other analytical tools
Experience with the Google ecosystem – especially GA4 and Merch Center (or other product data feed tools). GTM experience a plus
Basic knowledge of SQL, Power BI, Looker or other data anakysis and visualization tools
Backend development skills are a plus (HTML, JS, Liquid)
Physical Activities:
Daily activity includes but is not limited to:
Lifting, carrying, sitting, grasping, reaching, standing, kneeling, walking, bending, twisting.
Standing on a fatigue mat in a specific area throughout a 10 hour+ shift.
Be able to regularly lift/move up to 50lbs.
Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to above moderate.
