Overview Our internship program provides real‑world experience enabling future professionals to apply what they are learning in school to real career fields. This internship helps interns gain additional skills that can be applied to future jobs. The Drinking Water Solutions (DWS) Business Line has many areas of opportunity and growth. The intern will develop a basic understanding of activated carbon technologies and solutions focused primarily on drinking water treatment. Support will be needed on various projects through market research and data analysis, competitive analysis, market landscape (including future outlook), marketing collateral and campaigns, and marketing and reference tools in a digital platform including but not limited to social media, Adobe, Canva, etc. Additionally, the intern will gain useful experience in researching new market opportunities utilizing databases, historical information, and the internet as well as potentially engaging with customers and handling basic questions.

Duties and Responsibilities

Gain functional knowledge of granular activated carbon (GAC), equipment used for treatment, and how it works.

Train to understand the application of GAC to the Drinking Water market to provide support and answer and direct basic inquiries both website and email based regarding products and applications.

Develop and utilize reports within SalesForce for tracking and updating open opportunities.

Complete special projects and provide support to the Marketing, Business Development, Sales, and Product Management teams.

Participate and organize marketing campaigns with a key focus on data analysis and increasing sales.

Engage prospective customers and handle basic questions related to carbon technology.

Refresh marketing collateral and provide technical editing such as tech notes, articles, data sheets, case studies and others.

Collaborate on translating updated drinking water regulations for different contaminants (including PFAS) by state and determine a strategic approach for outreach.

Collaborate with marketing to develop and organize information related to competition by competitor, product, technology, etc.

Research new customers and develop a list of opportunities and contacts.

Analyze business development and marketing data as needed and provide suggestions or recommendations.

Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Adobe, SalesForce, Canva, etc.

Experience in market research and competitive analysis including interpretation of patterns and trends, sentiment analysis, segmentation, etc.

Relevant Fields of Study

Chemistry, Engineering, Marketing, Business, or other Technical Degree (working toward a bachelor’s degree or higher).

Qualifications

All applicants must be authorized to work in the US.
