What You Will Do

Review architectural drawings, project specifications, and work scopes to prepare estimates.

Perform detailed quantity takeoffs of all materials, accessories, and labor.

Collaborate with the sales team to review bid requests, clarify scope, and ensure accuracy in pricing.

Analyze material and labor costs, factoring in waste and installation complexity.

Provide value engineering options when applicable to maximize efficiency and cost savings.

Preparing winning proposals and supporting documentation for customer presentations.

Input and maintain data in estimating software and company systems (such as PlanSwift, Airtable, and Dropbox).

Partner with field managers to support project handoff and resolve estimating discrepancies.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product and service prices and offerings

What We Are Looking For

Strong knowledge of estimating software (PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Onscreen or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong understanding of siding materials (fiber cement, vinyl, engineered wood, etc.) and installation methods.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Excellent math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines.

Preferred

High school diploma (Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred)

3+ years of construction estimating experience (siding, exterior cladding, or related trades preferred).
