
Order Processing Specialist (Sales Order Coordination)

Position Overview
A small, established industrial company in Coppell is seeking an Order Management / Sales Support Specialist to support their sales and operations team. This is a hands‑on, detail‑driven role responsible for managing the full order process, including customer sales orders and vendor purchase orders. This is not a sales role. There is no cold calling or quota. This position focuses on order accuracy, coordination, and system management in a collaborative, laid‑back office environment. This is a temp‑to‑hire opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
Process and manage customer sales orders from entry through completion
Create and update quotes using internal systems (QuoteWerks? training provided)
Generate and track purchase orders (POs) with vendors
Coordinate between sales team, vendors, and internal staff to ensure order accuracy
Monitor order status, follow up on updates, and resolve discrepancies
Support outside sales representatives with order‑related needs
Assist with inventory checks and order logistics
Maintain accurate records within the Sage accounting system (or similar ERP)
Communicate with customers regarding order status, updates, and follow‑ups
Qualifications
2+ years of order entry / order processing / sales support experience
Experience working in a system‑based environment (ERP/CRM)
Understanding of sales orders vs. purchase orders
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Comfortable working in a small team, in‑office setting
Strong communication and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Sage (strong plus)
Uses QuoteWerks for quotes, will train
Background in manufacturing, distribution, or product‑based companies
Experience supporting sales teams or outside sales reps
Familiarity with inventory coordination or logistics
100% in‑office in Coppell (no remote or hybrid)
Casual work environment (jeans)
Small, tight‑knit team (approximately 10 employees in office)
Own office and dedicated workspace
