Express has partnered with a major contractor on a large‑scale construction project in Taylor, TX and is seeking a motivated
BIM Designer
with 2-3 years of experience to join a dynamic and growing team. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented professional with hands‑on Revit experience who is looking to further develop their BIM and electrical design expertise.
Pay Rate: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour DOE
Schedule: Monday—Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm
Responsibilities
Collaborate with electrical engineers and project managers to develop detailed electrical drawings and BIM models.
Create and modify electrical plans, schematics, panel layouts, and power distribution drawings using Revit.
Utilize Revit for 3D modeling and BIM coordination of electrical systems.
Assist in integrating electrical systems with other trades within the BIM environment.
Support clash detection efforts using Navisworks and coordinate with project teams to resolve conflicts.
Update drawings and models based on redlines and field markups.
Transform engineering sketches and design concepts into accurate construction documents.
Assist in compiling drawing packages and submittals for review and approval.
Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company and industry standards.
Participate in coordination meetings and design reviews as needed.
Qualifications
2-3 years of experience in BIM design, electrical drafting, or related role.
Minimum 1 year of working knowledge using Revit required.
Experience producing construction drawings within a BIM environment.
Basic understanding of electrical systems (commercial or industrial preferred).
Experience with Navisworks for clash detection is a plus.
Proficiency in AutoCAD is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced construction environment.
Associate's degree or technical training in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
