Commercial Roofing Estimator
Location:
Memphis, TN
Compensation:
$80,000 - $110,000, depending on experience
A leading provider of commercial and industrial roofing services is seeking a skilled
Commercial Roofing Estimator
to join our team in Memphis, TN. We specialize in comprehensive roofing solutions for commercial, industrial, retail, and institutional properties, using cutting‑edge technology and equipment to deliver top‑quality results.
As an Estimator, you’ll play a key role in the preparation of cost estimates and bid proposals for roofing projects. This includes analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to create accurate assessments of time, materials, labor, and overall project costs. You will support both our sales and project teams by providing detailed estimates, communicating effectively with clients, and assisting with project planning and vendor coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals for commercial roofing projects
Analyze blueprints and other documentation to determine labor, materials, and time requirements
Draft proposals to general contractors, private clients, and other customers
Track bids and outcomes using internal systems
Coordinate with project managers, vendors, and contractors to ensure accurate and timely project execution
Maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors
Participate in pre‑bid, handoff, and planning meetings
Conduct site visits, including take‑offs and core cuts as needed
Respond to customer inquiries and provide pre‑job support
Contribute to budget development and process improvement
Requirements
Proven experience in construction estimating, ideally in commercial roofing
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and estimating software
Strong communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
Comfortable working at heights and climbing ladders
High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
Prior sales or estimating experience strongly preferred
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
